Theft and robbery
What is theft?
Theft is when someone takes something from you without your permission. It could be something small such as a pencil or something larger like a bike. What matters is that it is yours and no one has the right to take it.
What is robbery?
Robbery is where something of yours is forcefully taken from you – this can by someone on their own, or by gangs or groups. This is called steaming – this type of robbery is uncommon, but does sometimes happen.
