Attacks, abuse and Violence – 0-10

If someone hurts you, it’s called assault. This is the same for if you’re punched or kicked, or if you’re hit with something.

What can I do if someone is hurting me?

The first thing you need to do is try to get safe. This could mean running away or shouting as loud as you can so people come to help you, or it makes the person hurting you run away.

After you have managed to get somewhere safe, you must tell an adult you trust. They will help you work out what is the best thing to do next.

If you don’t want to speak to an adult you know, speak to us at Voice. We’re here to help you – it’s free to talk to us and we don’t have to tell anyone about it.
